Presidential Awards for Community Multicultural Achievement (PACME)
In conjunction with the President's Office, OMSA coordinates this award program to honor individuals who have made significant contributions toward enhancing VCU's commitment to diversity. Every PACME recipient receives $500. Additionally, the Riese-Melton Award, a capstone, is given. The recipient is chosen from the PACME winners and receives an additional $250. The Burnside-Watstein LGBT Award
The Burnside-Watstein LGBT Award is given annually by the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) Subcommittee of VCU’s Equity and Diversity Committee to one or more individuals who enrich the community at VCU and make a significant difference in the lives of LGBT faculty, staff and students. Black History in the Making Award
Created by the Department of African American Studies, the Black History in the Making awards are presented to students who exhibit outstanding achievement or service in academics, career, university, or community. Mission
The primary mission of OMSA is to assist traditionally underserved and/or underrepresented student populations (i.e. race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, and gender) through advising, support, program development, retention, mentoring and by promoting an appreciation of diversity throughout the campus community.

All requests for meeting space in the OMSA office must be submitted no less than 5 working days prior to the meeting. Only requests accompanied by a signed "OMSA Room Reservation Guidelines" will be accepted.
